Ensure that your cover letter and resume is up to date.
Your Responses to Selection Criteria
For each position at Mosman Council there is a list of selection criteria that outline the necessary skills and experience required for the job. Applicants are required to respond to each selection criteria.
Your responses must include sufficient detail to allow a full assessment of your skills and experience. When addressing each criterion you should consider your response in terms of qualification, knowledge, skills, abilities and relevant work experience. Your application will not be considered if you do not address or meet each selection criteria listed in the Position Description.
Quote the Positions Vacant (PV) number in your application.
It is important that you quote the relevant PV number in your application so it is easy for us to identify which position you are applying for. The position number can be found in the advertisement details. An example of a PV number is PV-CS-14/10.

Verifying Qualifications and Referees
If you are requested to attend an interview you will be required to bring original transcripts of your qualifications and/or certifications. You will also be asked to provide the names and contact details of two referees who you have directly reported to in the course of your employment.
Other Pre-employment Checks
Pre-employment functional assessments form part of the recruitment and selection process for all positions at Council. Where positions also require the applicant to undertake a Working With Children Check and/or a National Police Check, this will be identified as part of the selection criteria.
Offers of Employment
Offers of employment with Mosman Council will be made in writing and will be signed by the General Manager. An offer of employment is not formalised until the candidate has received an original signed Offer of Employment document.
