Monday Matters at Barry O'Keefe Library

17 May 2017

The next “Monday Matters” talk at Barry O’Keefe Library in June should be a real treat for garden lovers.

Annie Hawker, a member of the “Talking Friends” from The Royal Botanic Gardens, will be the guest speaker.

Annie will briefly outline the history of the gardens, what is happening now, and plans for the future.

“The Royal Botanic Gardens & Domain Trust has entered into its third century, having turned 200 in 2016,” Librarian Jane Roughley said.

“Little known to most Sydneysiders is that this statutory body is directly responsible for the management of three of Sydney’s Botanic Gardens, including Mt. Tomah and Mt. Annan as well as The Royal Botanic Garden.”

Annie will show slides of the three gardens during her presentation.

“And Then There Were Three” is on Monday 5 June at 10.30am.

“Monday Matters” is a free event. Bookings are essential on 9978-4091 or at
