Monday Matters at Barry O'Keefe Library

20 November 2017

December’s ‘Monday Matters’ will end the year on a high note with entrepreneur and businesswoman Julie Ankers sharing her passion for helping women navigate their way through their lives beyond 50.

She has developed a number of companies including one with a focus on retaining mature age workers and building age-inclusive workforces.

Three years ago Julie made a tree change to live in the Blue Mountains.

Her book, Fabulous, Feisty and 50+ is a collection of 21 “warts and all” autobiographical stories of women in their fifties, sixties and seventies, who are all facing their own challenges, including financial hardship, discrimination, marriage breakdown and illness.

“Each woman’s story is recounted with humour, insight and self-deprecation as Julie demonstrates the under-stated strength and resilience of these fabulous women,” Librarian Jane Roughley said.

“If you want to be inspired and motivated to be the best you can be, this Monday Matters could be for you.”

Monday Matters is on Monday 4 December 2017 at 10.30am.

It is a free event, however bookings are essential on 9978 4091 or events.mosman.nsw.gov.au.
