Mobile for a Meal

Posted Tuesday 10 January 2017

Did you get a new mobile phone for Christmas? Not sure what to do with your old phone?

Get on board the Mobile for a Meal campaign! For every mobile recycled with Mobile Muster from now until February, they’ll donate the value of one meal to OzHarvest. OzHarvest is the first perishable food rescue organisation in Australia that collects quality excess food from more than 2,000 commercial outlets and delivers it, direct and free of charge, to more than 900 charities.

All you need to do is drop your old mobile phones, batteries and/or accessories to one of Council’s collection points, at the Barry O’Keefe Library or Civic Centre Foyer, from now until Tuesday 14 February.

So get on board and help tackle two of Australia’s biggest waste challenges – e-waste and food waste!
