The annual Mosman Youth Awards in Literature is now open for entries.

The competition awards prizes for both prose and poetry with a total prize pool of over $2000 and is open to primary and secondary students. Cash prizes ranging from $50 to $350 will be awarded to winners in various categories. The prizes are sponsored by Mosman Lions Club, Rotary Club of Mosman, Mosman Community College, Oracle Books and Peter Burke of Mosman Zu Café.

This competition supports the development of writing and reading skills in young people and can encourage them to become authors in the future.

Entries close on 31 May and the winners will be announced at a special ceremony on Wednesday 30 August at Barry O’Keefe Library.
