An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Educator to work in Mosman OOSH, Mosman Council’s Before & After School and Vacation Care programs.
The service operates out of a large purpose orientated heritage listed Hall with the children having ample access to an indoor/outdoor program with a focus on sustainability. Children have the opportunity to take care of the services free range chickens, worm farm, veggie and compost patch.
The position of OOSH Educator delivers high quality education and care for children aged 5-12 years, provides ongoing support and assistance to the team and develops positive relationships that support children and families. The position provides assistance to the OOSH Coordinator and is responsible for contributing to the effective operation of Mosman Council’s Out of School Hours Care Programs (MOOSH) and the development, implementation and evaluation of developmentally appropriate programs based on the needs and interests of individual children.
The successful applicant will be degree qualified, an experienced Educator and have a demonstrated knowledge and experience of the National Education and Care Services Law and Regulations. The position holder will also be required to demonstrate the ability to establish positive relationships and rapport with staff, children and families and have excellent time management skills, the ability to prioritise and coordinate tasks and responsibilities
