Graeme Simsion and Anne Buist at the Library

09 October 2017

Two Steps Forward is co-written by Graeme Simsion, the author of The Rosie Project and his wife, psychiatrist and novelist, Anne Buist.

In this charming and funny story, Zoe, a recently widowed American artist, and Martin, a recently divorced British engineer, each set out alone to walk the 2,000 kilometre Camino de Santiago from France to Northern Spain hoping to make fresh starts in their lives. It’s said the Camino changes you, but will Zoe and Martin find new versions of themselves, and is there a chance these two very different people will find each other?

Graeme and Anne have themselves walked the Camino many times, and the novel is filled with lush detail gained by their personal experiences.

Two Steps Forward is about the challenge of walking a long distance and of working out where you are going. But mostly it’s about what you choose to leave behind and what you rediscover.

This event will take place on Monday 23 October from 7pm till 9pm. Pre-paid bookings are essential, Adults $10.00, Pensioners/Students $8.00 (passes must be shown). For all enquiries contact the Library on 9978-4091, or book online at Mosman Events.
