Monday Matters at Barry O'Keefe Library

15 January 2018

Katherine Boland will be the first speaker for the year as part of the Library’s “Monday Matters” series of talks.

Katherine is an Australian artist who has written her memoir, “Hippy Days, Arabian Nights”.

Spanning five decades and as many continents, it is a funny, moving and compelling story of a woman who ‘lives life without bounds and loves without fear’.

“Hippy Days” tells of her feminist, free-thinking days in remote NSW and in “Arabian Nights” she travels to Egypt where she falls in love with a local man 27 years her junior.

‘Katherine tells her story with honesty, humour and passion’ said Librarian, Jane Roughley. ‘It’s a great read and I can’t wait to hear her speak’ .

Meet Katherine at “Monday Matters” on Monday 5 February at 10.30am. It’s a free event and bookings are essential on 9978-4091 or events.mosman.nsw.gov.au.
