Mosman celebrates seniors in March24 February 2017
Mosman Council is celebrating seniors during the NSW Seniors Festival which runs for 10 days from Friday 3 March to Sunday 12 March, with a range of activities and events at the Seniors Centre, Library and Mosman Art Gallery.
“Mosman Council is inviting all residents aged over 60 to attend the NSW Seniors Festival in Mosman to explore an array of exciting new activities, ranging from Tai Chi or Zumba to trying their hand at watercolour,” Mosman Mayor Peter Abelson said.
The festival will be launched with a special High Tea on Friday 3 March at 12.30pm at Mosman Square Seniors Centre which will be followed by another ticketed headline social event in the form of the Annual Cocktail Party on Tuesday 7 March at 4pm at Mosman Art Gallery. Mosman Council will be offering a complimentary shuttle bus to get to and from the Cocktail Party.
For those with an interest in documenting their own fascinating stories, best-selling author Amanda Hampson will host a Memoir Writing Workshop on Thursday 9 March at Barry O’Keefe Library.
The NSW Seniors Festival is the largest festival for seniors in Australia and is designed to celebrate the role they play and contributions they make to the NSW community through a range of activities encompassing art, sport, music, entertainment, technology, recreation, health and good nutrition.
