New app for Curlew Artists' camp tours

28 August 2015

A guided walk around the Curlew Artists’ Camp in Little Sirius Cove is now available to experience on your mobile as a free download through the mobile application izi TRAVEL.

Using the global tracking system on your device, you will be directed through the content of the tour, exploring this significant Mosman site.

The Curlew Artists’ Camp has played a vital role in the development of Mosman’s artistic culture which stretches back to the traditional custodians of the land, the Cammeraigal people, through the arrival of the Europeans and the development of the Mosman region, to the present day.

The guided walk allows visitors to place themselves within these contexts to uncover the lives and works of the talented artists who worked and resided in Mosman, particularly during the late 19th century.

As part of the Festival of Mosman, a number of guide-led tours will occur to engage with this site and introduce participants to the content of the new mobile application.

The free tours are open to the public and depart from Taronga Zoo Wharf. For bookings visit and click through to the Sirius Cove Artists’ Camp Tours booking pages.

The izi TRAVEL app is available on Apple, Android and Windows platforms.
