Pet's Day Out hits pawfect note29 August 2016
Animal lovers and owners turned out in force along with an array of enthusiastic pets ranging from rats to a wide variety of dogs for Mosman Council’s 2016 Pet’s Day Out held yesterday on the Village Green.
More than 3,500 human visitors attended the much loved free annual community event, enjoying a range of competitions, interactive animal shows by Animal Wildlife and Taronga Zoo’s Zoomobile, obedience master classes and performances by Dancing Dogs R Us, in perfect weather. Meanwhile, Doggie Rescue and Greyhound Rescue provided advice to those interested in starting or extending their family by adopting a dog.
“Pet’s Day Out is a highlight of the calendar for animal lovers and owners from Mosman and the wider region and this year more than ever came along with double last year’s attendance,” Mosman Council Manager Communications Liz Bennett said. “Visitors see it as an opportunity to socialise their own best friend, borrow their neighbours’ companion or just have a great day out sans pet.”
