The works include widening of the footpath, raising the pedestrian crossing, landscaping, lighting and the installation of new street furniture. The works are to beautify the area and improve pedestrian access and safety.

The intersection of Avenue Road and Military Road will be closed from 14 June until 6 July 2012. A detour will be in place through Belmont Road and Gladstone Avenue.

A traffic management plan will be in place to minimise the disturbance to traffic and pedestrians.

Council regrets the inconvenience arising from these works and will work to limit disruptions to a minimum.

If you require any further information contact Project Engineer Polly Makim 9978 4047 or Graduate Engineer Kent Tanaka 9978 4148.
