Do you support action on plastic bags?

Posted Wednesday 24 April 2013turtle 275

Did you know that Australians used 3.9 billion single use, lightweight high density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic bags in 2007?

While plastic bags can be recycled, most end up as landfill or litter in our natural environment. Not only do plastic bags take years to break down, they are also responsible for the death of up to a million sea creatures ever year.

Council is looking into the viability of reducing plastic bag use, or introducing a voluntary ban on plastic bags in the Mosman Community. This survey is intended to gauge the level of support from the local community in Mosman.

Please assist Council by taking approximately 2 minutes to fill in the survey below. Results of the survey will be reported to Council; however, identification of an individual will remain confidential.
