Countdown is on for the 2013 Festival of MosmanPosted Wednesday 18 September 2013
After it stunning success in 2011, the Festival of Mosman returns this year to celebrate the best of Mosman and its community.
“The Festival includes events that celebrate the best of Mosman”, says Mayor of Mosman, Councillor Peter Abelson. “Events are organized that highlight our stunning beaches, scenery and lookouts; our harbour lifestyle including fine dining and shopping; our vibrant arts experiences; and our easy walking access to National Parks and other natural wonders.”
“Highlights of this year’s Festival include key components of the Australian Naval Fleet Review including a Freedom of Entry Parade along Military Road, a Whale Dreaming Ceremony at Balmoral, In Situ: Mosman Festival of Sculpture and Installation, Hunter Valley Uncorked and the return of many much loved community events such as Pet’s Day Out and the annual Children’s Fair,” said Councillor Abelson.
The Festival of Mosman is organised by Mosman Council with considerable input, support and assistance from local community groups and volunteers. Key supporters include our Festival sponsors St.George Bank, Kimbriki Environmental Enterprises and our media partner Mosman Daily.
A pocket program for Festival events will be distributed to all Mosman households by mid September.
All Festival events can now be accessed online. For all the latest news and event information for the Festival follow the link to festivalofmosman.net.
