Coinciding this year with the Royal Australian Navy’s International Fleet Review, the Festival was opened on Saturday 28 September with a spectacular twilight performance by the Navy’s Rock and Pop Band at Balmoral.

Mosman was the perfect place to enjoy the Review over the October long weekend, as tall ships and naval vessels from around the world commemorated the centenary of the Royal Australian Navy’s first entry into Sydney Harbour.

Mosman also played host to a Freedom of Entry Parade by the sailors of HMAS Penguin, Australian Navy Cadets and the Royal Australian Navy Band.
Other Festival highlights have included new art installations at Mosman Art Gallery and Middle Head, In Situ: Festival of Sculpture & Installation along Military Road, as well as walks, tours, exhibitions and shows across Mosman.

The final big weekend for the Festival is almost here. For details of all Festival of Mosman events visit
