Bring Joy to a Child’s Life…Mosman Council Christmas Gift Appeal for Children at Bear CottagePosted Thursday 28 November 2013
Mosman Council will again be nominating the children of Bear Cottage as the recipients of this year’s Christmas Gift Appeal.
Bear Cottage is an initiative of The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. It is a hospice where children with terminal illnesses and their families can stay from time to time and receive rest and medical care in a home-like environment.
You can help bring a little joy to their lives by leaving a gift under the tree in the Mosman Civic Centre foyer by Tuesday 17 December. The gift doesn’t need wrapping, just a label saying what age (from under 1 to 18 years) and gender it would be best for. We are looking to donate good quality (no second hand) gifts.
The Mayor, Councillor Peter Abelson said that “The generosity of Mosman residents in supporting previous gift Appeals has been amazing with last year’s appeal receiving more than 200 gifts. I invite residents to support this year’s appeal by donating a gift that will bring some joy to the children and their families.”
