New technology centre for seniors

Posted Sunday 15 December 2013

A new Interactive Learning Centre for Seniors was officially launched in early December at Mosman Library. The new Learning Centre, funded by a Library Development Grant from the Library Council of NSW, is equipped with the latest in laptops, tablets, widescreen technology and functional furniture to provide an interactive learning space for seniors wishing to develop their digital literacy skills.

Establishment of the Centre follows the successful introduction of ‘Technology Tuesday Talks’ at the Library in March this year. These monthly sessions provide an opportunity for the older members of our community to learn about the latest in digital technology. We will now be able to deliver a more interactive learning experience in conjunction with these talks, especially for older people who do not have their own equipment or who want to learn, keep up to date and get advice on what type of equipment to buy.

For enquiries about the new Learning Centre and Technology Tuesday talks, call 9978 4091 or visit Mosman Library.
