An Extraordinary Local Traffic Committee (LTC) meeting was held on 28 May 2014 to consider the outcomes of the community consultation and to approve the Local Area Traffic Management (LATM) scheme for Beauty Point. The LTC resolved to approve the LATM scheme subject to some technical amendments to the advertised scheme. The amended design drawings can be viewed by clicking the link provided below. Please note that the proposed signage shown on the plans is currently under review and has not been finalised, Council will endeavor to minimise signage as far as practicable and not compromise the safety of all road users.
On 3 June 2014 Council resolved to proceed with the LATM scheme as amended by the Local Traffic Committee in response to recent submissions. The meeting was attended by a number of local residents who put their views forward.
Further, Council resolved that Council staff continue to engage with residents throughout the implementation phase.
The implementation of the approved LATM scheme will commence by 30 June 2014 to take advantage of the school holidays and to comply with the RMS grant conditions.
