Exhibition: Proposed Aged Care Facility at Middle HeadPosted Tuesday 08 July 2014
Sydney Harbour Federation Trust has placed a new proposal on public exhibition. Comments are invited by 3 August 2014.
Located at the 10 Terminal site at Middle Head the proposed facility would be for residential aged care with associated dementia care day centre. The development would involve adaptive reuse of the existing buildings and the demolition and replacement of some buildings.
As a result of community feedback on the original proposal which was exhibited in October 2013 the developer has amended the proposal such that it is limited to the southern side of Middle Head Road. The two storey timber buildings on the northern side are no longer included as part of the proposal. The Harbour Trust has advised Council that it intends to replace them with open public parkland.
Hard copies of the proposal are on exhibition at Council administration building and Mosman Library until 3 August 2014. Electronic copies of the documents can also be viewed at www.thecovemiddlehead.com or www.harbourtrust.gov.au .
