Council cleans up after storms

Posted Thursday 23 April 2015

Mosman Council staff are continuing to assess damage and clean up after the recent damaging storms with work expected to take up to a total of three weeks.

Rain from the second storm a week after the first weather event added to the clean-up challenge by limiting access to sodden reserves.

Work is being carried out according to a priority list with risks to health and safety being actioned first, including managing trees that pose a safety risk, clearing blocked access to roads and footpaths and removing any debris from reserves and verges.

Since the storms hit Council has responded to more than 130 calls from residents and carried out about 110 storm damage inspections.

If your property has been affected by the storm please visit the Emergency Management page for more information.
