Youth Awards in Literature

Posted Tuesday 06 March 2018

The annual Mosman Youth Awards in Literature is now open for entries.

The competition awards prizes for both prose and poetry with a total prize pool of over $2000 and is open to primary and secondary students. Cash prizes ranging from $50 to $350 will be awarded to winners in various categories. The prizes are sponsored by Mosman Lions Club, Rotary Club of Mosman, Mosman Community College, Oracle Books and Peter Burke of Mosman Zu Café.

One of the most important programs Mosman Library Service runs every year, this competition supports the development of writing and reading skills in young people and is an excellent way to encourage young people to become authors in the future.

Entries close on Thursday 31 May and the winners will be announced at a special ceremony on Wednesday 29 August at Barry O’Keefe Library. Entry forms can be found here.
