Mosman Junction UpgradePosted Wednesday 04 July 2018
The major upgrade to Mosman Junction is taking shape, with the fourth of five stages now underway on Bradleys Head Road.
The first three stages are complete and have involved the provision of two alfresco dining areas, improvements to the roundabout, and the installation of new pedestrian crossings at Middle Head Road and Prince Albert Street.
Prince Albert Street has been reopened and half/half road closures are in effect on Bradleys Head Road from now until early August 2018. The northbound lane will be closed for two weeks, followed by the southbound lane.
The fifth and final stage will involve the installation of lighting, furniture and landscaping, with the upgrade works scheduled for completion in late August 2018.
The Mosman Junction Upgrade will create a new pedestrian-friendly area at Mosman Junction, the section also known as Centenary Circle where Prince Albert Street, Middle Head Road and Bradleys Head Road converge. The project will bring outdoor dining spaces and improved pedestrian access to the area to create a safe, functional and vibrant hub.
The project aims to build on the local identity and character of the Mosman Village and responds to community requests for improvements to the Military Road streetscape spanning seven years.
