Permits go digitalPosted Thursday 20 June 2019
From July 2019 Mosman Council’s foreshore parking permits will be digital and managed online through vPermit.
The new system means residents can organise their permits from home, are not required to display a permit sticker on their vehicle, and can transfer their permit to another vehicle up to four times a year for free.
The change follows Council’s switch to digital permits for its residential parking scheme last year.
To get a digital foreshore parking permit for 2019/20 applicants must set up a vPermit account and activate their permit online at vpermit.com.au/mosman.
Setting up a new vPermit account and activating a permit for the first time requires: an email address, a digital image of the applicant’s NSW Driver Licence showing their eligible address (residents), rates assessment number (property owners), vehicle registration number and a valid debit or credit card if payment is required.
More information and a video guide on how to use vPermit is available here.
Renewal of foreshore parking permits as digital permits for 2019/20 is due by Wednesday 31 July. After this date vehicles parked in foreshore areas without a valid digital permit will be subject to fines.
For residents who need assistance to obtain their vPermit Council offers self-service internet kiosks in the Civic Centre foyer and customer service staff are happy to help.
