Mayor Corrigan presented a Mayoral Minute recognising Mosman Council’s recent success at the 2019 National Parking Industry Awards. Council was the winner of the ‘Excellence in Technology and Innovation – On Street’ Award for its VPermit initiative implemented for residential, foreshore and visitor parking permits in 2018 and 2019.

Mayor Councillor Corrigan presented a Mayoral Minute relating to the devastating fires that have impacted communities around NSW and across Australia. In particular, the area of Glen Innes Severn, with which Mosman has a Friendship Agreement, has been badly effected with loss of lives and many properties including the home of Mayor Carol Sparks. Council unanimously agreed that Mayor Corrigan speak with Mayor Sparks to confirm the most effective way Mosman can render support and assistance to the Glen Innes Severn community.

In a Mayoral Minute to Council, Mayor Carolyn Corrigan advised that Mosman Council has been announced as winner of the Voice Project’s Best Workplace Award for 2019. This award recognises workplaces that have excellent management practices and a highly engaged workforce.

Mayor Carolyn Corrigan presented a Mayoral Minute advising of Mosman’s recent success in major awards programs. Mosman Art Gallery has added yet another win to its growing stable of local, national and international awards.

Council adopted a recommendation from Mayor Carolyn Corrigan that a public meeting be held to present the key points on Mosman’s draft Local Strategic Planning Statement (LSPS) ahead of the close of public consultation on this significant document.

Council recently exhibited its (draft) revised MOSPLAN 2018-2021 Delivery Program and 2019-2020 Operational Plan, Budget and Fees and Charges. The period for public comment closed on 5 May and the documents were again considered by Council, along with submissions received. Council resolved to adopt all documents, incorporating changes made following the public consultation period and including revised hire fees for outdoor netball courts at Drill Hall Common.

Council adopted a Mayoral Minute in support of the Bridge-ing the Gap campaign to fly the Indigenous flag alongside the Australian and NSW flags on top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
