Balmoral Beach access ramp

Accessibility at Balmoral Beach has been enhanced with a temporary ramp connecting the foreshore to the sand.
Initially installed for the recent Balmoral Swim for Cancer event, the ramp will remain available for public use. While it does not meet full compliance standards due to its temporary nature, it does provide improved beach access. Signage will be installed at the site to inform users and invite feedback to help inform a permanent solution.
Council has allocated $200,000 in its draft 2026–2027 budget to design fully compliant, permanent accessibility measures in the coming year.
