Better public spaces
Council is continuing its master planning process to ensure the suburb remains liveable, sustainable, and resilient as it grows. Recent discussions at the Committee for Sydney's Breathable Density event reinforced the importance of planning density around people and nature, with a focus on public spaces, tree canopy, light, water and fresh air. These principles align closely with the emerging Mosman Masterplan, which aims to enhance streets, parks, buildings, and community connections as population density increases. Following community feedback gathered during the early stages, Council is refining the draft plan before seeking State Government endorsement and placing it on public exhibition, providing further opportunities for community input.
