Mosman’s Disability Inclusion Action Plan

Council adopted its Disability Inclusion Action Plan 2026-2030 following public exhibition. The Plan brings together actions that guide Council’s ongoing commitment to creating a more inclusive, accessible and welcoming community, through a range of projects and initiatives. Lime Bikes in Mosman

As a follow on to the discussion at the June Council meeting, Council considered a further report outlining the intention for Lime Bikes to commence operations in Mosman. Council considered several measures and implementation arrangements that it will require from Lime Bikes in order to proceed as an operator within the area. Council remains concerned at the various impacts to amenity and will be seeking to establish a comprehensive approach with Lime Bikes that minimises problematic outcomes resulting from operations of shared e-bikes in the area. Community consultation will form a key part of shaping implementation once maps and other materials are developed and made available. We will keep the community up to date with further developments regarding this proposal from Lime Bikes.

The Barn Scout Hall

Council has been investigating pathways and viability for additional protection to The Barn Scout Hall at Mosman Bay, acknowledging its significance as the oldest stone building surviving on the Lower North Shore and Sydney’s only remaining maritime industrial structure dating from the early Colonial period and directly connected with Archibald Mosman. It is a building steeped in history as an early whaling station and as it also has a long history of use as a Scout Hall from as early as 1925. Council is investigating mechanisms such as National Heritage Listing.
