Mayor Ann Marie Kimber chats with Art Gallery Director Blake Griffiths about what to expect from the 2026 Mosman Art Prize exhibition, opening on Thursday night.
More than 70 pieces are on exhibition, selected from a record 1,550 entries. Gallery visitors also have the chance to select a favourite piece and cast a vote for the People’s Choice Award.
The 2026 show runs until Monday 26 October.
Now in its 79th year, the Mosman Art Prize is Australia’s longest-running municipal art award and is widely regarded as the most prestigious and relevant painting prize in the country.
