Mural art

A colourful new mural is adding some vibrancy to the well-utilised Vista Street carpark in Mosman Village. The artwork adorns the multi-level stairwells used by many pedestrians to enter and exit the carpark.

The whimsical design by street artist Happy Decay (Bjarni Wark) depicts a range of shapes, patterns and characters and aims to brighten and beautify the public space.

Wark said his intention was to transform what was a largely negative space and create a positive experience, adaptable to both young and old, with natural playful elements to invoke the imagination.

Commissioned by Council, the work extends over 200 square metres and complements the existing mural adjacent to the main car park entrance, adding to the public art throughout Mosman.
