Recycle smartly
Council is taking action to divert problem waste items from landfill, including e-waste, batteries, globes and clothes with council in partnership with RecycleSmart and the EPA’s Better Waste Recycle Fund, offering Mosman residents a home pick-up recycling service which takes items to recycling centres and charities for reprocessing or re-use.
RecycleSmart collects from doorsteps clothes in wearable and unwearable conditions, coffee capsules, x-rays and blister packs as well as e-waste and other tricky-to-recycle items, such as toys in sellable condition, lightbulbs and expanded polystyrene. Soft plastics cannot be collected at the moment.
Residents can choose from a free plan to have two bags collected every month or an on-demand Power Pickup at $5 per bag with a minimum of two bags per collection.
To try the service before subscribing book a free Power Pickup using the code FIRSTFREE at checkout at recyclesmart.com.
