Winner – Best Overall Display
Prize: Voucher for two people for Little Trip Through Italy degustation at Ormeggio (valued at $270), $200 print credit for Snap Printing Neutral Bay, $150 voucher for Hair Salon Renaissance
The judges were unanimous in making Accoutrement the overall competition winner. This was a joyful, tasteful and comprehensive display that had something for everyone – a warm and inviting feeling, striking colours and the provision of individual details that appealed to all ages.
The judges were very impressed by the overall attention to detail shown, such as the novelty and placement of the toy cars which were particularly attractive to the young and young-at-heart.
Each window was displayed as a distinct display while the combined impact of the many side-to-side windows radiated an overall sense of elegance and continuity that made a significant impact on the streetscape in Mosman. The display was beautifully executed, inviting shoppers to enter and was imbued with a Christmas spirit that balanced luxury with simplicity and joy – a great example for other businesses to follow and a worthy overall winner of RAPT 2019.
The Nowhere Nation
Winner – Best Lighting Display
Prize: Voucher for four people for Sparkling High Tea Experience at Boronia House (valued at $260)
The judges were drawn to the subtle but eye-catching white glow of the contemporary lighting at The Nowhere Nation which framed the shop window well. The lights had the effect of drawing viewers closer, with the light pulling passers-by into the business.
The display itself was elegant and inviting, and elements such as the use of wrapped boxes gave a sense of balance and proportionality. Overall this was an effective, engaging and comforting Christmas display.
Lily & Mitchell
Winner – Most Sustainable Display
Prize: Voucher for Ripples Chowder Bay (valued at $350)
For the second year running, Lily & Mitchell have been awarded the most sustainable display. Not resting on their laurels from last year’s win, Lily & Mitchell have reinvented the elements they used while maintaining an intelligent use of space and creativity.
