Mosman Council offers a number of waste and sustainability programs to schools and the local community.
Here is a preview of a program run with Mosman Council Vacation Care students. Lead by Angela Van Boxtel, children learn to rethink plastic and transform discarded plastic bags into colourful sealife.
Mosman Council’s Environment and Sustainability Officers can bring the following programs free to your school:
- Environmental auditing – waste, water, energy and biodiversity
- Litters and Critters Workshops – Litter, Stormwater Pollution and our Marine Environment
- EcoGardening Workshops – composting, worm farming, waste reduction and recycling
- Waste to Art or Waste to Music competitions and workshops
- Tree Planting to create habitat for local fauna
Here is a preview of the Waste to Music program where Mosman After School Care students worked to produce a unique sound from items that are normally thought of as rubbish.
