Tani Ruckle

Born in Canada, Tani Ruckle leapt to the attention of the Australian public in 1988 when she both competed in the Women's World 15Km Championships and was named Australian Marathon Champion.

In 1989 she won the City to Surf and in 1990 she went on to win a silver medal for Australia at the Auckland Commonwealth Games coming second to Lisa Martin.

She represented Australia again in the 1994 Victoria Commonwealth Games in Vancouver.

Across her sporting career Tani has competed in a range of community events Australia-wide and won over 50 road races.

Tani has worked for the last 20 years in the Fitness Industry and is a qualified personal trainer and group fitness instructor.
