Malcolm Ritchie

Yachting

Malcolm has been a resident of Mosman for over 20 years and is a former Councillor of the area. A dental surgeon, Malcolm spends his spare time on the water.

He has participated in 10 Sydney to Hobart Yacht Races, winning line honours in 1979 on Bumblebee 4 and winning under handicap in 2001 on Bumblebee 5.

He has also sailed in numerous Kenwood Cup, Clipper Cup and Southern Cross Cup Challenges in Australian teams.

In 1980 he was selected to represent Australia in the Maxi Boat World Championships in Porto Cervo, Sardinia.

He sailed in the Maxi Boat World Championships for Australia again in 2003 and the IMS World Championships in Capri.
