Gordon Irons

Rugby Union

Gordon played in two Australian Schoolboys Rugby Tests in 1979 against England.

He went on to play for the Australian U21 Rugby Team in 1982. He played in two Tests, against New Zealand and Fiji, both of which the team won.

He played first grade rugby for Northern Suburbs from 1980 until 1983 and was their Club Captain in 1982-3. He then played first grade for Gordon Rugby Club in 1984 before transferring to Sydney University where he played first and second grade until he retired in 1987.

He has been President of Mosman Junior Rugby since 1999 and has coached junior teams since 1997.

Gordon currently works in the area of Media and Telecommunications.
