ANZAC Day Service in Mosman

ANZAC Day, held on 25 April, marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War. It is also a day to commemorate the men and women who served and died in war.

ANZAC Day Dawn Service

When: Monday 25 April, 5.30am
Where: Old Parade Ground, Georges Heights (off Military Road, up Suakin Drive, Middle Head)

An ANZAC address will be delivered by Lieutenant Commander Wendy Duffy RAN, Executive Officer at HMAS Penguin.

Following the service the Lions Club of Mosman have a sausage sizzle ($5) and coffee is compliments of the Mosman RSL sub-Branch. All welcome.

There is no seating, transport or cover if it rains. Parking is available and a torch may be useful. Anyone or group (not already advised) wishing to lay a wreath or tribute please NOTIFY the MC before the commencement of the service.

Reminder: if wearing family or descendants medals (ie not your own) they are worn on the RIGHT chest.

Doing our bit is a project developed and managed by Mosman Library with the assistance of a State Government Library Development Grant to commemorate the centenary of World War One. It is an online resource to collect and display information about the wartime experiences of local service people.
