There are over 600 businesses in Mosman including a diverse range of professional service providers including financial, automotive, property and sport, recreational and health professionals as well as a substantial number of retailers. Council works with local business people for the benefit of Mosman.
The Mosman Chamber of Commerce is a local organization whose aim is to promote and protect the interests of the Mosman business community.
In October Council will be hosting three events as part of Small Business Month, offering opportunities for local business people to relax together over drinks and a bite to eat PLUS participate in business improvement sessions delivered by Realise
Mosman Council in partnership with OzHarvest are on a mission to reduce the amount of excess food being thrown away from local businesses to reduce waste costs and the amount of food waste that would otherwise go to landfill.
The Northside Business Enterprise Centre at Chatswood offers advice and support to new and existing business enterprises in the Mosman area.

Mosman Council inspects around 150 premises annually in accordance with Council Food inspection program and the partnership with the NSW food Authority.
Council’s Environmental Health Officer inspects hair and beauty premises to ensure that they are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition and suitably constructed to ensure hygienic conditions. The Council also inspects premises that sell tobacco products to ensure their products are advertised and displayed correctly.
