Become a Member

1. Complete the online form 

Either at home or in person at Barry O'Keefe Library.  

Once validated, an eCard membership will be granted. eCard membership is available only to residents of the Mosman Local Government Area and gives access to our eLibrary, including eBooks, eAudiobooks, online streaming services, and more. 

2. Visit Barry O'Keefe Library for a full membership 

You do not need to be a Mosman resident for a full membership.  

Proof of address is required before your physical card can be issued (driver licence, utilities bill or rates notice). You will need to collect your physical library card within 90 days. 

• Library membership is free 
• A library membership at Barry O’Keefe Library gives you access across all Shorelink Libraries (Stanton Library and Lane Cove Libraries) 
• Children and young adults under the age of 16 require the consent of a parent or guardian to join the library  
• By becoming a Mosman Library Service member you accept the terms and conditions below 

Library Membership Terms & Conditions 

• I accept responsibility for items borrowed on my library card and acknowledge any costs that may incur for items that are lost, stolen or damaged 
• I will report a lost or stolen library card  
• I will treat library staff and other members of the public with respect 
• I will let library staff know if my contact details change 
• I will abide by the membership terms and conditions of all the Shorelink Libraries 

Mosman Library Service operates under the Library Act 1939 and the Library Regulation 2026. Your personal information will only be used as required under this legislation.
