The people in the community make Mosman such a wonderful place in which to live, work, and play. With the rich and diverse nature of the local community, there is a growing need for social connection and belonging. Council works to facilitate community and intergenerational connection, access and inclusion for all.
Mosman’s community groups play a vital role in sustaining a strong, vibrant and caring community, and Council supports them in their social endeavours.
Council provides and facilitates services and activities for children and families, young people and seniors as well as the business community. Mosman is particularly proud of its volunteers and coordinates a number of volunteering programs.
With community consultation and engagement, Council undertakes planning for community needs and collaborates in regional planning and service development with Commonwealth and State Government, other councils and non-government organisations.
With community members and groups, Council works to support a welcoming and inclusive community.
This evaluation framework was developed with the councils of Northern Sydney (including Mosman) to promote social inclusion, particularly in the evaluation of programs.
