Balmoral Oval grant
Mosman residents will soon be able to enjoy upgraded infrastructure at the popular and much-loved Balmoral Oval following a successful grant application.
Clubs and individual players of a wide range of sports will benefit from the $1 million in funding from the Multi-Sport Community Facility Fund 2022/23.
The funding will go towards planned upgrades to the surface and new irrigation system, cricket pitches and athletics infrastructure, while perimeter pathways will also be improved and floodlights will be converted to new energy-efficient LEDs.
Works will commence in 2023 and Mosman Council, which is contributing to the funding of the upgrades, will work with the clubs and user groups to ensure impacts on the use of the oval are minimised during construction.
