Extraordinary Meeting - 18 July
An Extraordinary Council Meeting has been called for Monday 18 July 2016 commencing at 6pm to receive a briefing on the legal action in relation to the Local Government Reform Process.
It is proposed that the Meeting be closed to the press and public for that part necessary to consider advice concerning litigation, or advice that would otherwise be privileged from production in legal proceedings on the ground of legal professional privilege, relating to legal matters associated with the Local Government Reform Process as authorised by Clause 81(2)(g) of Council’s Code of Meeting Practice and Section 10A(2)(g) of the Local Government Act 1993.
Prior to any part of the Meeting being closed to the public, it will be necessary for members of the public to be allowed to make representations as to whether that part of the meeting should be closed.
