Community event

Posted on Wednesday 12 September 2018

The major outdoor dining and pedestrian-friendly upgrade to Mosman Junction will be officially opened on Thursday 27 September from 6pm to 8pm with a free community event for residents featuring entertainment, food provided by local businesses and a kids’ corner with cupcake-making and face painting.

Residents are encouraged to be the first to enjoy the purpose-built outdoor space by joining in the festivities at Mosman Junction (near the roundabout) which will begin after the Mayor cuts the ribbon.

The completed works include the provision of two alfresco dining areas, improvements to the roundabout and the installation of new pedestrian crossings at Middle Head Road, Bradleys Head Road and Prince Albert Street to enhance pedestrian safety and accessibility.

Lighting, seating and landscaping are also being enhanced, including new plantings in the roundabout garden and nearby Hampshire Park.

The project at the section also known as Centenary Circle where Prince Albert Street, Middle Head Road and Bradleys Head Road converge has created outdoor dining spaces and improved pedestrian access in the area to create a safe, functional and vibrant hub.
