Parents will learn practical tools to promote a healthy digital culture and build resilience online in children and young people, from technology and development expert Dr Kristy Goodwin at a seminar to be hosted by Mosman Council Children’s and Youth Services this month.

Empowering children and young people to develop positive body image will also look at:

  • How to empower young people to develop positive self-image
  • How to support your child to navigate unrealistic portrayals of “ideal” bodies in the digital landscape
  • How to encourage healthy decision-making for young people online
  • Practical tools to build young people’s resilience online

Dr Goodwin, a researcher, author, speaker and former teacher, is renowned for her wealth of knowledge in the area. The seminar, appropriate for parents of primary and high school aged children, will be held from 7.30-9pm on Wednesday 14 November at Mosman Art Gallery.
