Get Your WILDTHING on at Mosman Art Gallery
One of the ‘wild things’ of rock and roll, Chris Britton from the legendary UK band THE TROGGS of the hit single Wild Thing fame, is coming to visit the Wildthing exhibition at Mosman Art Gallery!
Join us for a ‘pop- up’ Meet and Greet with founding band member Chris Britton, tomorrow between 11.30am – 12.30pm. Have a photo opp and grab an autograph with this iconic musician who helped make famous one of the greatest rock songs of all time! It’s going to be WILD!
THE TROGGS are touring Australia this November to celebrate Wild Thing’s 50th Anniversary by performing all their Greatest Hits – Wild Thing, With a Girl Like You, I Can’t Control Myself, Love is All Around plus more! THE TROGGS are widely known to have inspired the age of garage and punk rock including The Ramones, Iggy Pop and The Buzzcocks.
This legend of rock n roll is dropping into Sydney’s Mosman Art Gallery to view the current exhibition – Wildthing – a menagerie of contemporary Australian art. Yes, Mosman’s group exhibition shares the same name as the band’s classic rock song.
WILDTHING: Animals in Contemporary Australian Art is presented in tandem with celebrations of the 100th Anniversary of Taronga Zoo. Through the work of 25 leading Australian artists Mosman’s exhibition considers the symbiotic relationship between humans and animals and nature, opening discussions on the wild and untamed and to concerns of species loss and ecological degradation.
We love when our creative and cultural platforms come together – music and art – it’s all happening at Mosman tomorrow – the Troggs are in town!
Open event: fans welcome.
