Proposed Taronga Zoo works

A State Significant Development Application (SSD 8008) has been submitted by the Taronga Conservation Society to the NSW Department of Planning and Environment to construct new African Savannah and Congo Forest exhibits, and new visitor amenities, as well as the partial demolition of existing African Safari and Orangutan Rainforest exhibits, the removal of trees and landscaping works.

The application, Environmental Impact Statement and accompanying documents may be viewed on the Department’s website from 4 August until 4 September 2017. Hard copies of documents are available for viewing at Council offices.
