Council agreed to donate $10,000 for bushfire relief and recovery from its Emergency Services Levy Account to support the nation’s recovery from the overwhelming crisis in recent months.

Mayor Corrigan presented a Mayoral Minute recognising Mosman Council’s recent success at the 2019 National Parking Industry Awards. Council was the winner of the ‘Excellence in Technology and Innovation – On Street’ Award for its VPermit initiative implemented for residential, foreshore and visitor parking permits in 2018 and 2019.

Mayor Councillor Corrigan presented a Mayoral Minute relating to the devastating fires that have impacted communities around NSW and across Australia. In particular, the area of Glen Innes Severn, with which Mosman has a Friendship Agreement, has been badly effected with loss of lives and many properties including the home of Mayor Carol Sparks. Council unanimously agreed that Mayor Corrigan speak with Mayor Sparks to confirm the most effective way Mosman can render support and assistance to the Glen Innes Severn community.

In a Mayoral Minute to Council, Mayor Carolyn Corrigan advised that Mosman Council has been announced as winner of the Voice Project’s Best Workplace Award for 2019. This award recognises workplaces that have excellent management practices and a highly engaged workforce.
