Oral History Interviewing Workshop
Professional oral historians, Andrew Host and Pauline Curby will be coming to Mosman to present their popular workshop.
Pauline, a freelance professional historian has undertaken consultancies in oral history, environmental history and heritage, as well as writing a number of commissioned histories.
Andrew has been professionally immersed in audio for 42 years, starting in commercial radio and then working in independent recording studios.
In this workshop they will take you through the steps required to start an oral history project, whether it be interviewing a family member or the local sporting club.
Covering a range of topics from research, how to approach an interview, formulation of questions and ethics, Andrew and Pauline will ensure the all-day workshop is fun and stimulating.
Suitable for both beginners and those with experience there will be opportunities to practice interviewing and to use the recording equipment.
