Local Heritage Grants Program

Our local heritage is a valued part of Mosman’s identity, character and sense of place. Protecting and conserving heritage places helps preserve the stories, history and unique qualities that define our community for current and future generations.

To support this shared responsibility, Council has established the Local Heritage Grant Program. The Program provides financial assistance to owners of heritage-significant properties in Mosman to undertake eligible works that conserve, protect and maintain the heritage significance of their properties.

Through this initiative, Council aims to support property owners in the ongoing stewardship of local heritage and contribute to the preservation of Mosman’s distinctive heritage assets for the benefit of the entire community.

Council encourages owners of heritage-listed properties and contributory items located within Heritage Conservation Areas to apply for funding through the Mosman Local Heritage Grant Program 2026-2027. Please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for further information on eligibility criteria, funding limits and application requirements.

If you require any additional information, please contact Council on 9978 4031, Monday to Thursday.

Applications close on 12 November 2026.
