TreesMosman Privacy Statement

Mosman Council takes the privacy of the users of its applications very seriously, and is bound by the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998, which sets out a number of principles concerning the privacy of individuals. The goal of this statement is to outline the management of your personal information by Mosman Council in the usage of the ‘TreesMosman’ application on Android and iOS, and should be viewed collectively with Mosman Council’s Privacy Management Plan.

What Information Do We Collect?

TreesMosman can be browsed anonymously without signing up. 

During startup, both the Android and iOS applications will request access to your location, camera/image gallery and notifications in order to optimise and customise your experience within the mobile applications. Mosman Council will never collect, store or forward your data to any third party. 

Holding and Sharing of Information

Mosman Council stores submitted information from the Report It section of the mobile applications. We will never disclose mobile application usage information to any third party and will only use the reporting information for internal use. 

Any submitted reports will require submission of personally identifiable information (such as a name, street address, phone number and email address), however this information will only be used in order to resolve and respond to requests. The user can also submit supporting photographs and images with their report. Images will be only used in order to resolve and respond to requests.

Use of TreesMosman

Whilst Mosman Council endeavours to maintain the currency and accuracy of this service, the information is subject to change.

It is advisable that users ascertain the currency of information immediately prior to use.

Mosman Council disclaims all responsibility for any loss or damage which may arise from the use of this service.
