Jamie Wilmot represented Australia at the 1984 LA Olympic Games in the Flying Dutchman class.
He was also three times Australian champion in this class, in 1974-75, 1975-76 and 1983-84.
At World Championships in Yachting, he placed fourth in the Flying Dutchman class in Canada in 1975, second in the Fireball class the same year in South Australia, sixth in the 18-footers in New Zealand in 1977 and third in the quarter-ton class in Japan in 1979.
Jamie Wilmot was also Australian champion in the Fireball class in 1972-73.
