Image Collection - Trace

The Mosman Library Service Digital Archive allows you to view images, documents, sound and film from the Library’s Local Studies Collection:

Trace is the digital gateway to the heritage of Mosman and allows access to historic and contemporary resources documenting the establishment and growth of this picturesque harbourside suburb.

In the 1950s Dalton ‘Jack’ Carroll, a former Mayor and local historian, donated his collection of historical materials to Mosman Council. This collection formed the basis of the Mosman Local Studies Collection.

Digitised items from the Mosman Local Studies Collection uploaded to Trace include photographs, postcards, correspondence, diaries, subdivision plans, council minutes, records and registers, oral history interviews and transcripts, and community archives. Digitising the historic collection is ongoing and new items continue to be added to Trace: Mosman Library Service Digital Archive.
